In Colorado, we know that we are stronger when we join together in union.

Colorado Workers for Innovative and New Solutions (WINS) is a union representing more than 28,000 state employees who work to ensure our quality of life in communities across the state.

We care for veterans, the sick, and the disabled; we maintain the safety and use of our roads and bridges; we protect the quality of our drinking water and air; we assist those hurt by the economic downturn; we provide stewardship to public lands and boost tourism; we keep our jails and communities secure and provide many other essential services.

State employees need a voice

From public health experts and nurses to snowplow drivers and livestock inspectors, state workers provide services to more than five million Coloradans. We live and work in all 64 counties of our state and we come from different races, religions, and ZIP codes and we make Colorado run.

We believe all workers, no matter where they work or the color of their skin, should have the freedom to join together in a union to negotiate for fair wages, so we can care for and support our families.

During the 2020 legislative session, Colorado WINS members pushed for the introduction of House Bill 1153, the Colorado Partnership For Quality Jobs And Services Act, that will grant state employees the freedom to collectively bargain with the state over pay, benefits, and working conditions.

We are the experts who know how to make our work and our state better. When we join our voices together and bring them to decision-makers, we will have a voice in improving the services we deliver.

Now, more than ever, state employees need a voice at the decision-making table. Activate your membership to have a say in what our union’s priorities should be.

What WINS members have accomplished:

✔️ Secured a raise for state workers in six of the past ten years
✔️ Improved safety, training, and other staffing practices across facilities and in departments.
✔️ Protected jobs in previous economic downturns
